Its funny if you think of the world this day,just how civilized everything seems to be now compared to what we have in the past. However,despite of all these civilization thingy we tend to brag about,why is it impossible to upgrade the "LEVEL OF CIVILIZATION" in terms of the way we think? Our way of valuing what we have around us in a very much more friendlier way. In other words,to increase the awareness of HUMANITY within ourself.
Bombing issues every now and then,collision in between religions,abandoning of human rights and the possibility of the outbreak of a new war. These are some of the issues,its big and very sensitive indeed but very common due to the fact that its happening everyday.
Reading through some of these issues online and i started to think,what happened to the value of humanity? Just how much do we value a person's life and if i give you values ranging from 1 - 10,where will you place your finger? 5 ? 7 ?... Seriously,people need to appreciate each other more,learn to love each other just as how much we loves ourselves. If you are afraid of being hurt,afraid of bleeding,so do the other human. We all live throughout the same process,to breath and feed on the resources God blessed us with. If you,take away or monopolized others needs they will end up suffering and just how should you justify your acts here.? Rules of surviving.? That is one good point you have there,but have you ever heard of the words sharing and negotiating.? Life is all about being able to give and share instead of keeping all the good things for your own use. Bring joy upon others,life would be more meaningful that way.
Its very terrifying to see bad happenings take place everyday. Through some bad actions we are drawing a new book of history for the future generation. Will we be view as " THE COMMUNITY WITH NO SENSE OF HUMANITY " despite the fact that we are always say the word such as " I am proud to be Christian ".? What are words here if no honest measurements are being taken to prove the values of Christianity that we have been talking about.?
Our humanity value is decreasing but at least we can be assure that somehow,good people with strong sense of humanity still exist. They make their effort visible throughout campaigns,foundations and many other activities that can help to develop those people who desperately need attentions and help. I know,some of us out there have the idea of helping others but somehow the lack of supports and experiences often do us the harm and therefore stop us from working on the thoughts.
Therefore,here we are today as a Christian community,gathered unitedly. Work on the ideas,share them and let us guide each other whenever necessary. Show to the entire world that we are plotting acts upon what the Bible teaches us to do. Students in University especially,you are the foundation for the near future. Practice the good habit,make them visible but don't brag arrogantly whenever you achieved something. Thank God if you made it through the process,let those people around you witness the word of the Lord through your actions. This,can be one of our way to evangelize,spread the good news.
Whatever that leads to the downgrading of humanity values,we need to avoid them. It's hard but for the sake of the future generation,we need to work on it to ensure they could live in safe and harmonious environment. Throughout any provocations,we should stay calm and avoid any contacts that could spark riots. For the sake of our children.
